Boathouse XXII is that of the Cantabrigian Boat Club.
This boathouse is a fair distance from the others and so nestled into the surrounding vegetation and far from the river bank that it made for quite a different photographic setting. Sara went in the mid-morning to get a beautiful shadow of the spiral staircase. Naomi enjoyed painting the trees that were both behind and in front of the building. We both liked the pair of trainers left on the water’s edge.
This is one of a series of images of the wonderfully eclectic and iconic series of boathouses that are found along the River Cam.
