Boathouse XV was a joint project for the Corpus Christi College, Girton College, Wolfson College and Sidney Sussex College Boat Clubs.
Sara went out on an early morning when the shadows were long, as we wanted to get the shadow of one of the two beautiful spiral staircases to play across the brick wall. Naomi drew the 1950s brickwork, the college shields and the pavement outside, with its early morning passers-by. It was fun to paint the shadow of the staircase without painting the staircase itself.
This is one of a series of images of the wonderfully eclectic and iconic series of boathouses that are found along the River Cam.
