Boathouse XII is where the main Cambridge University Boat Club (CUBC) is found. The CUBC now incorporates the previously separate Women’s Boat Club, and Lightweight Rowing Club.
Sara managed to be there when a woman passed by wearing the very same Cambridge blue as the painted woodwork of the building. Naomi relished drawing and painting the detail of the ornate plasterwork on the stylish trio of dormer windows, and also the modern club minibus with its matching livery which is always parked outside.
This is one of a series of images of the wonderfully eclectic and iconic series of boathouses that are found along the River Cam.
