Boathouse VI is the home of the Fitzwilliam College Boat Club.
Sara’s photograph was an early morning success with its crisp long shadow of the understated balcony. The chrome of the striking roofline and balcony balustrade give the boathouse a real sense of wateriness. It is so snugly set between others that Naomi drew everything surrounding it to create a frame. She also couldn’t resist drawing the boat crew working on a boat.
This is one of a series of images of the wonderfully eclectic and iconic series of boathouses that are found along the River Cam.
