Boathouse V is used by both the Peterhouse and Murray Edwards Boat Clubs.
Naomi and Sara argued a lot about this one – Sara had planned the whole series to have blue summer skies, and had therefore rejected this photo. Naomi spotted it in the discard pile and fell in love with the stormy sky. Luckily, as it also captures the boat manoeuvre at the best moment, Sara was eventually persuaded. Naomi was very keen to paint the careful detail of the ornamental pargeting.
This is one of a series of images of the wonderfully eclectic and iconic series of boathouses that are found along the River Cam.
